Eva Carneiro, the former Chelsea team doctor
has demanded that as part
of any settlement in her employment case with Chelsea, she is seeking a public
apology from former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho after lawyers failed to
reach agreement during talks in London.
The former team doctor is seeking legal action
against Mourinho for alleged victimisation and discrimination.
Carneiro was criticised by Mourinho and
demoted from first-team duties after she and Jon Fearn, the team physio were
waved into the field by the referee, Michael Oliver to treat Eden Hazard last August. Mourinho later branded the two as impulsive and naive.
Should no agreement be reached out of court
before the allocated date in June then a full employment hearing will be held
in public. Statements and documents, would
potentially be made available and the likes of Jose Mourinho, the referee Michael
Oliver and other employees of Chelsea, including players and Fearn, could be called as witnesses.
